EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 12, 2011
NO PRODUCT REGISTRATION REQUIRED
E-Z ON AUTO TOPS, INC. ® warrants all its convertible tops, glass and plastic curtains to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment from our factory. E-Z ON Auto Tops, Inc.'s warranty only applies to the original purchaser.
E-Z ON AUTO TOPS, INC. ® offers the following if any product should fail due to manufacturer defects. A seventy-two (72) month warrany on convertible tops. A sixty (60) month warranty on hard glass curtains. a thirty-six (36) month warranty on headliners. a twelve (12) month warranty on associated products. (See additional information below).
E-Z ON AUTO TOPS, INC.® reserves the right to determine if a warranty claim is valid. We may insist the item be returned to us for examination. Any abuse, misuse, or damage caused by incorrect , installation, or improper cleaning is the responsibility of the purchaser. All claims are calculated from date of installation. Proof of purchase (the original invoice) must be presented when a claim is made. In determining what constitutes a valid warranty claim under the terms of this warranty, the decision of E-Z ON Auto Tops Inc. ® shall be final.
WARRANTY ITEMS
Wear Prevention Kit for WH/WT 758-759-791 1989-2005 Mazda Miata
When replacing a WH/WT 758-759-791 1989-2005 Mazda Miata convertible top, the stress tear prevention kit must be used or warranty will void. This kit is included with the purchase of the top and consists of "mole skin" type adhesive felt. If the kit is not used or mole skin isn't replaced there is a possibility for tears in top at the 3rd and 4th bows.
CONVERTIBLE TOPS We warranty our tops for 72 months against failure of the material, such as cracking or delaminating, severe discoloration, and failure or separation of the stitching.
GLASS CURTAINS
There is no warranty against breakage during and after installation. Our standard glass curtains are warranted against separation of the bond between the topping and glass for sixty (60) months. The silicone hinge used is warranted for thirty-six (36) months. SGR and EWP products carries a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser of the product agains delamination of the bond between window topping and the window over the life of the product. (see specific warranty information).
HEADLINERS
We warranty our headliners for 36 months against failure of material, such as delaminating, severe discoloration, and failure or separation of the stitching.
PLASTIC CURTAINS
Plastic curtain assemblies are warranted for only 12 months against separation of the bond between the fabric and the plastic as well as the zipper. We use plastic zippers in order to control corrosion. There is no warranty against scratching and/or discoloration of the plastic, nor breakage of the plastic (see warranty exclusions). Plastic will normally change color as it matures.
LABOR CREDIT/CLAIM CALCULATION
If a product is found to be defective during the first 18 months, a new product will be issued at no charge, plus a non-prorated labor allowance which is determined by E-Z ON. A Labor credit will only apply to products installed by a professional installer approved by E-Z ON Auto Tops, Inc. If a glass bond fails after the 36th month but prior to 61st month, a new product will be issued on a pro-rata basis only.
SUBMITTING A WARRANTY CLAIM
Warranty claims must be submitted by an authorized E-Z ON Auto Tops,Inc. distributor only. Proof of purchase (original invoice) must accompany all warranty claims. Contact the distributor from whom you purchased your E-Z ON product to file a warranty claim. Distributors must obtain a return authorization (RA) number before returning any merchandise. E-Z ON AUTO TOPS, Inc will not be held responsible for any items returned without a Return Authorization number, and warranty coverage will not be applied to items returned without RA numbers.
EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY
SHRINKAGE
All materials, whether cloth or vinyl, will experience some shrinkage and color fading due to the aging process of the material.
EVERFLEX
All products made with Ever Flex Material are warranted for 1 year on material delaminating.
UV EXPOSURE
All tops, when folded down, must be covered by the boot cover in order to protect the underside of the fabric from sunlight (ultra violet rays). Failure to protect the backing will cause degradation of the backing material.
PLASTIC CURTAINS
Folding and/or bending of the plastic curtain when the temperature is below 45 degrees (F) can cause fracture or breakage in the plastic. If a brass zipper is ordered, then there is no guarantee against corrosion of the zipper. All plastic curtains might experience some pitting or discoloration of the surface if they remain in the box for over 12 months.
GLASS CURTAINS
There is no warranty against breakage during and after installation. There is no warranty against failure of the heat grid or heating elements on Heated Hard Glass windows after installation. Testing of the heating grid prior to installation is recommended, as a labor credit will not be available for this defect once installed. In addition, all glass windows are inspected for distortion. No warranty is offered for window distortion after installation. Careful examination of the glass prior to installation is recommend as labor credit will not be available once installed.
THREAD FADING
All threading will experience fading over time. Fading will not be covered by warranty.
INSTALLATION
Failure to install product as originally installed/designed may cause damage to the product. All E-Z ON products should be installed by experienced professionals only! Damage or improper fit resulting from incorrect installation will not be covered by warranty.
TOP FRAMES
E-Z ON will not be responsible for damage to the product caused by a worn, misaligned or damaged top frame, or known design flaws by OEM Manufacturers. Vehicle manufacturers generally release Technical Service Bulletins outlining inherent problems with vehicles and recommend solutions. Technical Service Bulletins may be obtained from an authorized dealer or other sources such as AllData.com.
ALTERATIONS
Any change in the product will void the warranty.
NATURAL DISASTERS
E-Z ON cannot be held responsible for damage caused by natural or severe atmospheric conditions.
WH689 STRAP KIT
When replacing our 2003-On Nissan 350Z top, a NEW set of bow tension straps MUST be replaced. These straps are included with a new top. If not replaced "snake bite" damage may occur. E-Z ON will not be responsible for damage to your top if these straps are not replaced.
CONDITIONS
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser. All claims must be submitted with the original invoices. Any use of the product for an unintended application and or misuse of the product will void warranties. There are no additional warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, beyond what is in this document.
BV LINE
Products sold under our BV line/brand are excluded from this warranty and carry their own warranty.
E-Z On Auto Tops, Inc. warrants tops up to 6 years against defects and workmanship. E-Z ON Auto Tops provides a 18 month Labor Credit on tops. We are proud to provide to our customers a LIFETIME WARRANTY on our and window systems. Please contact your distributer for a complete copy of our warranty.
LIFETIME WARRANTY
E-Z ON Auto Tops, Inc. provides a LIFETIME WARRANTY on our SGR Maxbond Ring System and our EWP Window Installation System. We are confident that these window bonding systems will perform for years to come. If the bond between the topping and glass fails or leaks we will replace the top to the original purchaser.

Our EXCLUSIVE SGR Maxbond Window System provides a clean smooth visual edge window system with No piping.
Our EWP Window Bonding System Edge Wear Protection) consists of a "J" shaped protective shielding surrounding the window opening which has a similar appearance to other OE style profiles which offers edge wear protection of the topping.
